To Survive on This Shore: Photographs and Interviews with Transgender and Gender Nonconforming Older Adults
For over five years, photographer Jess T. Dugan and social worker Vanessa Fabbre traveled throughout the United States documenting the life stories of transgender and gender nonconforming older adults, individuals whose experiences exist within the complex intersections of gender identity, age, race, ethnicity, sexuality, socioeconomic class, and geographic location.
In conjunction with the exhibition To Survive on This Shore: Photographs and Interviews with Transgender and Gender Nonconforming Older Adults by Jess T. Dugan and Vanessa Fabbre, the George Eastman Museum and ImageOut are hosting a panel discussion exploring representation of trans individuals in cinema.
A Preservation Legacy: Ed Stratmann Class difference and moral issues intertwine in this stark social drama starring Gloria Swanson. To bring The Trespasser back to the screen, Ed Stratmann worked from unique material repatriated from New Zealand, including a nitrate print and the original separate nitrate image and track negatives.
