For over five years, photographer Jess T. Dugan and social worker Vanessa Fabbre traveled throughout the United States documenting the life stories of transgender and gender nonconforming older adults, individuals whose experiences exist within the complex intersections of gender identity, age, race, ethnicity, sexuality, socioeconomic class, and geographic location.
Made for broadcast on public television as a “glimpse of the video landscape of tomorrow” (as an announcer at the beginning of the video states), Global Groove takes viewers on a stream-of-consciousness cultural journey around the world through the video medium.
