Events for July
Bea Nettles explores the narrative potential of photography through constructed images often made with alternative photographic processes. This exhibition originally opened on January 31, 2020, but just six weeks later, the museum had to close due to COVID-19 and a virtual version was offered online. Now, the Eastman Museum is pleased to bring the exhibition back to our galleries for visitors to explore in person.
Noir '46 Burt Lancaster (in his debut performance) is the Swede, a washed-up boxer turned failed criminal waiting for death in a small-town diner. Expanded from an Ernest Hemingway short story, the film is pure noir, but also explores the delicate nature of legacy and what remains when we leave this world.
