Eatery Lead - Open Face at Eastman Museum

Status: Full time, 37.5 hours per week.
Rate of Pay: Non-exempt, $17 – $18 per hour, with tips
Start Date: ASAP

Overview:
Eatery Lead is responsible for supervising eatery associates, managing workflow, and supporting the overall vision. Additional responsibilities include daily operations, food prep, and customer service. This position has variable working hours. Candidates must be available weekends, evenings, and holidays. Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  •  Consistently and accurately execute recipes.
  • Expand the Open Face brand and product offerings.
  • Oversee operations in the absence of Open Face manager.
  • Provide genuine customer service.
  • Maintain exceptional product and brand knowledge.
  • Accurately and efficiently input orders using Square POS.
  • Build menu items and plate orders.
  • Deliver orders and bus tables.
  • Clean and sanitize work surfaces and kitchen equipment.
  • Perform daily dishwashing.
  • Open and close the eatery.
  • Maintain inventory and manage stock.
  • Perform kitchen prepping, slicing, and portioning.
  • Prep and fulfill catering orders.


Minimum Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Monroe County Food Safety Certification.
  • Previous supervisory experience.
  • Guest service/visitor engagement skills.
  • Desire to excel in the hospitality industry.
  • Restaurant or other food service experience.
  • Intentional, detail oriented, and highly organized.
  • Self-motivated, reliable, and effective communication skills.
  • Maintain quality and consistency in performance and product.
  • Maximize time management in a fast-paced setting.
  • Standing, walking, lifting (25lbs), carrying, reaching, pushing/pulling, handling, speaking, hearing, seeing and repetitive motions.
  • Work is primarily performed in a setting with moderate to light noise. Exposure to heat sources (oven and coffee maker) and hazardous equipment (knives, meat slicers, etc.)
