Five gangsters - Seshu, Vikram, Prakash, Shardul, and Shiva - go in on a drug deal that will double their money, as long as everything goes according to plan. Vikram, however, has fallen in love with Vini, Shardul’s wife, and sees a way for the two of them to run away together and keep the money for themselves. Through a complex set of coincidences, Vikram must worm his way out of every circumstance, keeping his friends close, while also evading the police, seeing Vini on the side, and staying alive. Despite the title’s nominal similarity to Nicholas Ray’s Johnny Guitar (in English it’s often referred to as Johnny the Traitor), this film is inspired by many caper thrillers where well-laid plans go awry.
