Photographic Process 2.0: The Collodion Process

In part 2.0 of our photo process series we're looking at the Collodion Process. We're exploring the invention of the process and talking with our curators and historians, who help us put these processes into historical and cultural contexts.

The Collodion Process

Photography has shaped the way we remember and how we are reminded. Photography has created an incredible cultural shift–our communication and expression forever changed. In a completely new way, we could reveal what was important to us, who we were and who we loved.

Up next, The Albumen Print, The Woodburytype, The Platinum Print, and The Gelatin Silver Print.
