This position is primarily responsible for the management and maintenance of the George Eastman Museums (GEM) network, server, backup, and storage area network environments. Project Photographer (Grant Funded)

Under the supervision of the Chief Registrar, the Project Photographer is responsible for photographing more than 1,450 objects in the Cinematographic Equipment Collection. The Project Photographer is also responsible for processing the resulting digital image files for upload into the museum’s digital asset management system, and The Museum System (TMS), the museum’s collection database. Under the supervision of the Curator of the Technology Collection, the Project Cataloger is responsible for cataloging approximately 1,450 cameras from the Cinematographic Equipment Collection. The Project Cataloger is expected to catalog objects according to staff instruction and in alignment with standards as identified in the Technology Cataloging Manual. Development Database Administrator

The Development Database Administrator is responsible for day-to-date management of The Raiser’s Edge database and data pertaining to approximately 100,000 museum constituents. Working under the general guidance of the Director of Annual Giving, the Development Database Administrator processes Annual Fund and restricted contributions; tracks contributed revenue against fundraising goals; provides regular reporting and analysis to ensure that the Development department is being strategic in all fundraising activities; maintains the integrity and security of the database; oversees all gift accounting in collaboration with the Business Office; pulls mailing lists for solicitations and other constituent outreach; tracks pledge payments; maintains donor files/records; and updates/maintains all database policies and procedures. The Administrator also provides ongoing training for Development colleagues in the use of The Raiser’s Edge and best practices.

Maintenance Assistant

The Maintenance Assistant position consists of light maintenance duties and housekeeping duties, which will entail 30% of the week performing light preventative maintenance and 70% of the week performing custodial services. A heavy emphasis on the cleanliness in the new Visitor Center and Café is expected. Responsible for bi-weekly preventative maintenance services in café kitchen, to include filter cleaning, deep cleaning, and sanitization of spaces. Strong attention to cleanliness and sanitization in public restrooms and public spaces is expected.

Executive Assistant to the Director

The Executive Assistant to the Director provides high level administrative support to the museum’s Director, including providing logistical coordination for the museum’s Board of Trustees and various board committees.  The position will be responsible for organizing the day-to-day activities of the Director and the director’s office.  The Executive Assistant also provides support, as necessary, to the Vice President, Development and the Vice President, Finance and Operations. Visitor Services Associate (Full-time)

Provide exemplary customer service to all museum patrons at the Museum Eatery (Open Face), Lipson Welcome Center, and Museum Shop as assigned.  Primary function will be to provide support to the Museum Eatery preparing and serving food and beverages.  Will assist in the Museum Shop or Welcome Center as needed. Will welcome visitors, answer questions, and highlight important areas of the museum to ensure an outstanding visitor experience. This position is full-time with varied hours and requires the incumbent to work weekdays, weekends, some evenings, and holidays.
