Film critic Jack Garner shares his 2016 Academy Awards predictions at the George Eastman Museum on February 22

Rochester, N.Y., February 09, 2016—

Join Democrat and Chronicle entertainment columnist and former Gannett News Service film critic Jack Garner as he reviews the 2016 Academy Awards nominees, and reveals his predictions for the winners, on Monday, February 22 at 6 p.m. in the Dryden Theatre at the George Eastman Museum.

Garner, a member of the Eastman Museum Council, will present his analysis of this year’s biggest films and standout talents, and present his “picks” followed by a Q&A with the audience. Admission for the talk is $8, $6 for Eastman Museum members, and $4 for students. Tickets can be purchased at the Dryden Theatre box office the night of the event. Doors will open at 5:15 p.m. Garner will also be available following the talk for a signing of his book, From My Seat on the Aisle. Books will be available for purchase from the Museum Store.

For those interested in keeping the discussion going, a premium ticket is available for $40, which includes dinner with wine in the museum’s Potter Peristyle following the talk, with special guest Jack Garner in attendance. Reservations for dinner must be made by February 12; contact Allen Buell at [email protected] or (585) 271-3361 ext. 222.

The event is presented by the Eastman Museum Council, and all proceeds will benefit the George Eastman Museum.
