Eastman Entertains: At the Movies

Eastman Entertains: At the Movies, an array of beautiful table settings, creatively themed tabletops, and lush floral arrangements, returns to the George Eastman Museum. 

Eastman Entertains pays homage to George Eastman's own entertaining of friends, family, and business colleagues at his grand East Avenue residence. As Rochester's leading citizen, Eastman was accustomed to hosting guests, and he ensured that each event, no matter the size or scope, was a memorable experience for them.

Now in its seventh year, the display is made up of 20 tablescapes created by community members and businesses and inspired by popular motion pictures. The tablescapes are on view in the Multipurpose Hall and select areas of the historic mansion.

Some of the movies that inspired this year's tablescapes are The Wizard of Oz, Mary Poppins, Star Trek, Breakfast at Tiffany's, and Hocus Pocus.

Film Screenings
On Friday, May 12 at 7:30 p.m., the Dryden Theatre will screen Disney classic Mary Poppins (Robert Stevenson, US 1964), starring Oscar-winner Julie Andrews and Dick Van Dyke.
