(John Francis Dillon, US 1926, 70 min., 35mm)

Silent Tuesdays. In this romantic comedy of the First World War, Lewis Stone plays Major William Ridgewell, who marries his best girl on a furlough from the Royal Flying Corps. When he goes back to war, his new wife (Anna Q. Nilsson) is saddled with his very masculine apartment and indications he may be having an affair. Hurt and confused, she starts a relationship with a milquetoast fop and writes Ridgewell that she wants a divorce. He relents, but as the armistice arrives, there may be one more chance to save the marriage. Live piano by Philip C. Carli.
