(Mostly) Happy Holidays | Member Movie. Barbara Stanwyck plays Elizabeth Lane, a lifestyle columnist who must hide the fact that her writing is based on fabrications and borrowed recipes. Jefferson Jones (Dennis Morgan), an injured war hero, is entranced by Elizabeth’s writing and, through his nurse, contacts the magazine to ask to spend Christmas on Elizabeth’s farm. The publisher, unaware of Elizabeth’s deception, agrees, and she is forced to find a husband, a baby, and a Connecticut farmstead before Christmas. When the writer and the soldier meet, and sparks fly, the situation becomes even more complicated. Free to all George Eastman Museum members.
