Flesh for Frankenstein

Wednesday, August 24, 2016, 8 p.m., Dryden Theatre

(Paul Morrissey, US/Italy/France 1973, 95 min., 35mm)

Year Without a Summer. Baron Frankenstein (Udo Kier) desires to create a couple who will perpetuate the ideals of ancient Greece. His female creation complete, the mad scientist now seeks male brains that will want to make love to anything. But only gory disaster can come of the baron’s perversions and overweening ambition. One of the greatest schlock films in the history of cinema!

Preceded by Frankensteined Film (Gordon Nelson, US 1997, 16mm, 4 min.), the greatest experimental film spawned by the Frankenstein legend.
