An Inconvenient Sequel: Truth to Power

Thursday, September 15, 2022, 7:30 p.m., Dryden Theatre

(Bonni Cohen, Jon Shenk, US 2017, 98 min., DCP)

Following up his 2006 Academy Award–winning documentary An Inconvenient Truth, Vice President Al Gore serves as the focal point for this update. Picking up in 2015, Gore continues to advocate ecological policy changes, giving lectures about climate change, engaging a new generation of green leaders, and working with companies and government officials leading up to the historic Paris Agreement of 2016. Gore and his documentary team also travel to various parts of the world where climate change is most noticeable, including glaciers melting in Greenland and the flooded streets of Miami. Indefatigable, Gore nonetheless reckons with the amount of work still needed to slow the decay of the planet.
