The Lost Boys

Rochester-born screenwriter Jeffrey Boam returned to the horror genre with this Gen-X update of vampires in Northern California. Lucy Emerson (Dianne Wiest) moves to Santa Carla, California with her two teenage boys — Michael (Jason Patric), and Sam (Corey Haim). Michael is quickly entranced by Star (Jami Gertz), while Sam falls in with the Frog Brothers (Corey Feldman and Jamison Newlander), who inform him that the town is teeming with vampires. The boys find themselves on a collision course as Michael is drawn deeper into the world of vampires and Sam tries to find a way to save him. A must for fans of ‘80s horror, the film also stars Edward Herrmann, Keifer Sutherland, and Alex Winter.
