Too Late (35mm)

Wednesday, November 26, 2025, 7:30 p.m., Dryden Theatre

(Dennis Hauck, US 2015, 107 min., 35mm)

A twisty, non-linear narrative into the seedy underbelly of Los Angeles. Private investigator Mel Samson (John Hawkes) agrees to protect Dorothy Mahler (Crystal Reed), a stripper fearful for her life. Despite this, she winds up dead and Samson then must find the killer to clear his name. His odyssey will bring him into contact with low-level drug dealers, murderers, blackmailers, and drive-in theater projectionists before the film’s final revelation. Rochester’s own Robert Forster plays a sleazy strip-club owner in the film.
