Join us on a tour of current exhibition Crashing into the 60s, to learn about film posters, design elements, and more. This is the tour for lovers of Saul Bass, bold fonts, and the sixties. 

Bios

Janet Borgerson is a Senior Wicklander Fellow at DePaul University. She has written extensivelyMon the intersections of aesthetics, ethics, and design. 

Jonathan Schroeder is the William A. Kern Professor in the School of Communication at Rochester Institute of Technology, where he teaches courses in branding, fashion, and visual culture. 

Borgerson and Schroeder are co-authors of Designed for Hi-Fi Living: The Vinyl LP in Midcentury America (MIT Press, 2017), Designed for Dancing: How Midcentury Records Taught America to Dance (MIT Press, 2021), and Designed for Success: Better Living and Self- Improvement with Midcentury Instructional Records (MIT Press, 2024).
