ONLINE—Let’s Make Even Better Gelatin Emulsions (Advanced)

Already took the gelatin emulsion workshop? Ready to take your skills to the next level? Have questions and want to troubleshoot your process? This is the perfect next step for those who took our introductory workshop.

Advanced techniques will include both sulfur and gold sensitizing to increase the emulsion speed and dye sensitizing to increase the color sensitivity to orthochromatic. In addition, the workshop will feature automated silver introduction using special pumps.

Note: This workshop includes instructions and guidance on how to make gelatin emulsions at home. The workshop is a small group setting, but we are not able to provide individualized troubleshooting for attendees attempting to follow along at home.

Workshop Refund Policy

• The museum offers refunds up to ten working days before the event.
• Tickets are transferable to another attendee up to five working days before the event.
• The museum is not responsible for outages, technical issues, and issues with connectivity experienced by the attendee. We strongly recommend testing all technology and software prior to the event.
• In the case where the museum is unable to do the event due to technical issues, all tickets will be refunded or the event will be rescheduled.
• Attendees who are unable to attend, but are still interested in learning the skills, can be a sent a recording of the workshop.
