Latin film series

For the first time this year, the Dryden Theatre is collaborating with community leaders to bring you a series of films to celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month, over five Wednesday screenings, with admission free to all. Covering nearly seventy years of cinema history, each film has been selected to highlight a specific film artist that will open your eyes to the massive yet ofttimes overlooked contributions they have made to the film industry: Edward James Olmos, Dolores Del Río, Glauber Rocha, Rita Hayworth, and Alejandro Amenábar. With special introductions and some post-screening discussions, these films provide everyone with an opportunity to celebrate this wonderful film heritage.
