George Eastman Museum appoints Kevin Gavagan as Chair of its Board of Trustees

The Board of Trustees of the George Eastman Museum has appointed Kevin Gavagan as its new Chair. Gavagan’s involvement with the Eastman Museum began in 1995, as a member of the George Eastman Society. He has served on the museum’s Board of Trustees for eleven years, including several years as a Vice Chair. George Eastman Museum hires Douglas Nordquist as security manager

The George Eastman Museum has hired Douglas Nordquist for the position of security manager. Nordquist retired a s the Chief of Police for the town of Ogden and the village of Spencerport last year, after serving since 2004. Prior to his position with the town Ogden, he was a chief deputy with the Monroe County Sheriff’s Office for 30 years. As security manager for the Eastman Museum, Nordquist is responsible for the oversight of all security and safety issues both operationally and administratively throughout the museum and its property. He currently resi des in Brighton.
