(Victor Heerman, US 1930, 90 min., 16mm)
Senior Matinee—Free for 55+. Four Marx Brothers—Groucho, Chico, Harpo, and Zeppo—bring their biggest stage success to the screen, with predictably anarchic and hilarious results. The “story” begins with African explorer Spaulding’s (Groucho) arrival at a posh party, leading to the theft of a valuable painting, but it’s the nonstop one-liners, verbal tongue twisters, and frequently bizarre physical shtick that keep things moving.
