Adult children Carolyn and Michael are called to their mother’s house in Iowa to settle her estate. Her burial instructions don’t match the plans their father had made, leading to a cache of journals and letters detailing a brief affair in 1965 that changed the course of many lives and involved a mysterious photographer named Robert Kincaid.
