(Vincente Minnelli, US 1945, 90 min., 35mm)

Vincente and Judy. Country-boy soldier Robert Walker is on a two-day pass in the big city when he meets office girl Judy Garland. In almost no time they realize they were made for each other, but doing anything about it sets up one obstacle after another. This charming love story, director Minnelli’s first non-musical, is a triumph of set design—most people assume the whole film was actually shot in New York City!
