The Toe Tactic

Director and animator Emily Hubley will be in person to introduce her film The Toe Tactic. Starring Lily Rabe, the film follows the misadventures of a young woman who reconciles the grief for her dead father with her fundamental love of the world. Mona leaves her teaching position and now works temp jobs as an office assistant. One of these jobs is for Victoria Hadaway, a woman who may be the key to bringing her life into focus. All the while, she is watched over by animated beings that guide her in dealing with life situations. The film also features a bevy of character actors, including Xander Berkeley, Kevin Corrigan, David Cross, Ann Dowd, and Jane Lynch. Preceded by two of Hubley’s short films that relate to the feature.
