Three servicemen return home and find themselves out of place as they try to readjust to civilian life. A superb cast includes Fredric March, Myrna Loy, Dana Andrews, Teresa Wright, Virginia Mayo, and real-life army veteran Harold Russell. Wright’s last great film, it was made at the end of her commitment to Samuel Goldwyn, who had discovered her on stage and brought her to Hollywood.
