(Richard E. Norman, US 1926, 65 min., 35mm)
Billy Stokes (Laurence Criner), World War I hero and railroad detective, is hired by his former boss to investigate the theft of a $25,000 payroll. With the help of his one-legged mechanic, “Peg” (Steve Reynolds) and the station master’s beautiful daughter, Ruth (Kathryn Boyd), Billy tracks the criminals through the air and swamps of Florida. The only known surviving feature from Norman Studios, this adventure film is helped by clever photography and a go-for-broke sense of adventure.
