(John Reinhardt, US 1947, 71 min., 35mm)
Unavailable anywhere but on film, this rare film noir deals with post-war trauma and romantic entanglements. Bonita Granville plays both Estelle and Linda Mitchell, twins dating army pals and roommates Mike (Don Castle) and Johnny (Wally Cassell). While Estelle is dating Mike, she also lusts after Johnny. The sisters get into an argument over Johnny, but when Linda turns up dead, Johnny is the prime suspect. Mike takes over the investigation, trying to clear his friend’s name, but not everything is as it seems.
