By the Light of the Silvery Moon

Doris Day and Gordon MacRae reunite for the further adventures of war-torn sweethearts Marjorie Winfield and Bill Sherman. Returning from his service in World War I, Bill and Marjorie are reunited and hope to get married. Marjorie’s father, George (Leon Ames), however, encourages Bill to build up a nest egg before the nuptials. Meanwhile, Marjorie’s life may be in turmoil as George has been seen with a foreign actress around town. Misunderstandings pile on each other leading to a Thanksgiving holiday that none of them will forget. Filled with American standards from the early part of the century, this homespun romance will cheer you up for the long weekend.
