Magic at the Movies

Tuesday, February 9, 2016, 8 p.m., Dryden Theatre

Museum Treasures. It’s a night of Magic at the Movies. See a trick film where drawings come to life! Watch as the tricks of a medium are exposed by Hereward Carrington! Witness Harry Houdini escape from straightjackets! Gasp as a manacled Houdini jumps off the Weighlock Bridge in downtown Rochester in 1907! These sensational short films are followed by a feature that Houdini called “a counterfeiting story of thrills galore.” Live piano by Philip C. Carli.
