Miroirs No. 3 (DCP)

Friday, April 10, 2026, 7:30 p.m., Dryden Theatre

(Christian Petzold, Germany 2025, 86 min., DCP, German with English subtitles)

German director Christian Petzold returns with another film starring his current muse, Paula Beer, following Transit, Undine, and Afire. Beer plays Laura, a woman lost and unhappy with her current relationship. When a car accident upends her life, Laura wanders into the farmhouse of Betty (Barbara Auer) and her family. Betty takes in Laura to care for her, but as Laura learns more, she becomes suspicious of Betty’s motives. Exploring Petzold-ian themes of memory, loss, and identity, the film was reportedly shot loosely in under a week, allowing the actors to find their characters individually and write much of their own dialogue.
