Returning for the second year in a row, Anomaly - the Rochester Genre Film Festival digs deep into the George Eastman Museum archives to uncover hidden treasures not typically considered for the general program. This year’s selection finds Jack Lord (famous for playing Steve McGarrett on Hawaii Five-O), as a hungarian hitchhiker who gets in over his head. Symcha Lipa (Lord), heading west on a deserted Arizona road, is picked up by Mickey (Susan Strasberg), whose Jeep overheats. The two are attracted to each other immediately, but Mickey still holds out hope for her missing fiance, Julio. Mickey takes Sym home for the night, but Mickey’s family is wary, especially when dark family secrets start to be revealed.
