Red is the color of heat, passion, anger, and fraternity. Valentine (Irêne Jacob) is a student and model in Geneva, working on jobs while dealing with her long-distance insecure boyfriend. When she hits a dog in the street one night, the dog’s collar leads her to the home of Joseph Kern, a retired judge spending his retirement re-considering his judgments and listening in on his neighbor’s telephone calls. While Joseph has the uncanny ability to read into Valentine’s actions and social views to reveal much about her past, Valentine has a similar ability to read Joseph’s emotions to reveal his. Together, a mutual trust grows out of their relationship, changing their outlook on life and the paths they travel.
