Dryden Roundtable: 75 Years of Dryden History

Saturday, April 4, 2026, 2 p.m., Dryden Theatre

75 years. More than 15,000 screenings. Hundreds of guests. Hundreds of thousands of audience members. The Dryden Theatre has been a Rochester institution since the end of the nitrate era, an exhibition space for the best of cinema across its history. Built as part of the George Eastman Museum to celebrate George Eastman’s legacy via the technology and art he made possible, it has served the Rochester and surrounding communities as an educational and repertory theater committed to replicating the cinematic experience. Now, at the cusp of our 76th year, get behind-the-scenes information of the history of the Dryden Theatre, from how the project started to the ways we’ve changed over the years;  from special guests to sold-out screenings. Whether it’s your favorite place in Rochester, or only one of your favorites, get to know more than you ever thought about the Dryden Theatre, and help us celebrate 75 more years to come!

This event is free to all.
