Dryden Roundtable: Summer Chills

Saturday, June 14, 2025, 2 p.m., Dryden Theatre

This summer, The Dryden Theatre gives you an opportunity to beat the heat with a series of “Summer Chills.” These films are not only set in snowy climes, but also will send a chill down your spine, with ghosts, vampires, aliens, and creepy children. Joining Curator of Film Exhibitions Jared Case to talk about this series, horror films and their intricate connection to the isolation of snow-bound settings will be Kendall Phillips, author of Projected Fears: Horror Films and American Culture, and Will Scheibel, author of Penny Dreadful and Adaptation: Reanimating and Transforming the Monster. Films will screen on five Fridays in July and August, but get all the context you need in this free, accessible conversation.

This is a free event!
