Focus 45: The Gabriel Cromer Project

Saturday, April 7, 2018, 12 p.m., 7Crest Financial Partners Hall

One of the Eastman Museum's foundational collections, the Gabriel Cromer Collection is the most important holding of early French photography outside of France. In 2016, the Institute of Museum and Library Services awarded the museum a grant to catalog and digitize the collection—more than four thousand photographs, photomechanical prints, albums, ephemera, three-dimensional objects, cameras, toys, books, and early motion studies. Heather Shannon, associate curator; Edith Cuerrier, project cataloger; and Allan Phoenix, project photographer, will discuss their work on the project.

Free to members; included with museum admission.
