In Focus: Past, Present and Future: A review of the South Asian film collections at George Eastman Museum

This InFocus discussion will review how the museum came to acquire the largest collection of South Asian Cinema outside of India and Pakistan, what is currently happening for the inspection, conservation and cataloging of the collection, and our continuing plans for access and preservation.

Presented by Collection Manager Deborah Stoiber, we will show several examples of how the collection arrived, what steps were made to stabilize the conservation of each title and our hopes are for bringing these films back to life to future film scholars and fans of cinema.
