Take a private tour of the exhibition David Levinthal: War, Myth, Desire with curator Lisa Hostetler and manager of digital engagement Kate Meyers Emery, and learn how photographer David Levinthal uses small figures and toys to explore the explore the fantasies, myths, events, and characters that shape contemporary America.
Then, style your own scenes using toys and backdrops. Nick Brandreth, historic process specialist, will teach how to use scale, lighting, and framing to make your miniature scenes appear lifelike.
Whether using a camera for print or your phone to share on Instagram, all methods are welcome (but bring your own).

This exhibition features three recently restored paper prints originally produced by Biograph Studios and directed by D.W. Griffith (American 1875–1948) in 1908. Also included is a partially restored version of Le Mélomane (The Melomaniac), a 1903 short directed by the legendary French special effects virtuoso, Georges Méliès (1861–1938).
