You no longer need to limit yourself to just analog or just digital photography methods. You can reproduce the effects of a variety of your favorite historic and alternative printing processes such as carbon, salt, and platinum using negatives made with your inkjet printer. This online workshop will help you harness the precision of digital imaging to produce specialty negatives and expand your creative printmaking possibilities.
Historic Process Specialist Nick Brandreth will guide participants online in a step-by-step workflow for digital negative making.
You will learn:
- The digital negative workflow
- How to build the proper printing curves to emulate various alternative printing processes
- How to make gold-toned salted paper prints from digital negatives
- Tips and tricks for inkjet printing
- Inkjet printer care and maintenance

Note: This workshop includes instructions and guidance on digital negative making for alternative & historic process printing. The workshop is a small group setting, but we are not able to provide individualized troubleshooting for attendees attempting to follow along at home.

- In the case where the museum is unable to do the event due to technical issues, all tickets will be refunded or the event will be rescheduled.
