Platinum printing was one of the most popular printing processes at the turn of the century. Favored among photographers such as Alfred Stieglitz, Edward Steichen, and Irving Penn, this very simple process doesn’t require complicated materials or darkroom techniques. Platinum prints produce uniquely warm black tones to reddish brown tones and can reproduce an incredible tonal range.
In this online workshop, Historic Process Specialist Nick Brandreth will help you understand the ins and out of making your own platinum prints at home.
