(Deux moi, Cédric Klapisch, France 2019, 110 min., French w/subtitles)

Cédric Klapisch reunites with his Back to Burgundy actors François Civil and Ana Girardot in this very 21st-century romance. Parisians Rémy (Civil) and Mélanie (Girardot) have never met, though they live in adjacent buildings, a wall apart. Rémy is separated from his family and dealing with depression, while Mélanie is still reeling from a bad breakup and a sense of abandonment. They may not be ready to love yet, but working through their problems, going on dates, and nearly meeting each other several times may get them to that right place and time. This touching and surprisingly funny romance may be just the cure for those looking for connection.
