George Eastman Museum announces new board members
Rochester, N.Y., January 28, 2016—
The George Eastman Museum has announced the appointment of nine new board members since April 2015. H.C. Digby Clements, Kevin E. Glazer, Jeffrey Korchek, and Steven Sasson joined the board in April, followed by Richard Grosbard, Michael J. Cooney, Esq., and Paul Burgett, PhD, in July. The most recent appointments of Kenneth Frederick and Christine Symchych were confirmed at the museum’s board meeting in October.
Spring comes early to the George Eastman Museum with annual Dutch Connection floral display

The George Eastman Museum presents virtual springtime, with the annual Dutch Connection floral display, on view Friday, February 12, through Sunday, February 28. This colorful two-week display will feature thousands of flowering bulbs, displayed throughout the historic mansion.

The George Eastman Museum partners with the Geva Theatre Center to bring To Kill a Mockingbird to the big screen

The Dryden Theatre at the George Eastman Museum will be screening To Kill a Mockingbird (Robert Mulligan, US 1962) on Friday, February 12 at 8 p.m. The award-winning film, starring Gregory Peck, is based on the novel by Harper Lee, and will be screened in conjunction with the stage production of To Kill a Mockingbird at the Geva Theatre Center beginning February 20.

Lorna Bieber: Fabrications to open at the George Eastman Museum on February 27

For more than twenty years, artist Lorna Bieber has made the world of reproduced photographic images the subject of her work. On February 27, the George Eastman Museum will premiere Bieber’s newest creation, Tapestry (2015) as part of the exhibition Fabrications, organized by the museum. Lorna Bieber: Fabrications will be on view through June 5.
George Eastman House fills Conservatory with flowers Feb. 6–21, mirroring George Eastman's 1909 order

George Eastman House presents virtual springtime, with the 15th annual exhibition The Dutch Connection: George Eastman's Conservatory in Winter Bloom, on view Friday, Feb. 6 through Saturday, Feb. 21. This colorful, interpretive exhibition will feature thousands of flowering bulbs, re-creating Eastman's 1909 display of flowers from Holland — ordered from the same Dutch company Eastman used.
