Scope & Contents: This collection comprises one box of materials dating from 1895 to 1943 and includes business records, correspondence, and graphic materials related to Goldensky's technical discoveries and photography business, including a catalog from the Goldensky School of Photography, and studio lease agreements. Of note are portraits of Russian author Maxim Gorky; material that documents Goldensky's experimentation with lighting and exposure; and a 1933 letter to Goldensky from Franklin D. Roosevelt in which FDR thanks Goldensky for the photograph of his mother.
